Kiss Domestic Violence Goodbye!

KDVG-sponsor

In 1989, the U.S. Congress passed Public Law 101-112 designating October of that year as National Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Domestic violence thrives when we are silent; but if we take a stand and work together, we can end domestic violence. (http://nnedv.org/getinvolved/dvam.html)

Throughout this month I am committed to not only raising awareness, but to raising money, and raising the spirits of those surviving this experience.  Victims of domestic violence are males and females of all ages and the funds raised from this project will go to organizations servicing ALL VICTIMS and SURIVIVORS. Please help me out!

HOW LIPSTICK HELPS

marykayheadshotSometimes it’s the little things that make a difference.   If a woman is living in a shelter it’s because she has mustered up the courage to remove herself from an abusive environment, and usually she only  has the basics.  Many organizations donate toiletries and clothing, but I like to give the gift of beauty!  As a Mary Kay Consultant I have the opportunity of helping women AND men take care of their skin and put their best face forward to the world. When you buy a lipstick/gloss/balm/tint in the Month of October I will donate a portion of my profits to the Partnership Against Domestic Violence http://padv.org/.
